Within the framework of the collaboration between the Department of Geography of Aachen University and the Vakhushti Bagrationi Institute of Geography of TSU, the Institute hosted the summer school in Georgia.
During the program, students from Aachen University visited historical, cultural, and natural landmarks, and became acquainted with Georgia’s rich traditions and geographical diversity.
Throughout the visit, students were accompanied by research staff from the Institute of Geography, who also delivered scientific lectures, helping them gain a deeper understanding of the country’s natural and cultural environment.
At the end of the visit, students gave presentations on various regions of Georgia as well as on socio-economic topics, sharing their observations and research findings.
The summer school aimed to strengthen educational and scientific cooperation, and provide students with practical experience in understanding Georgia’s natural, cultural, and social landscapes.
Both institutions plan to continue joint research and educational activities in the future.
