Project Principal Investigator: PhD in Geography Lasha Asanidze

"As you know, along with modern technological development, research methods and scientific approaches are changing, which in turn establishes high standards in science. Accordingly, the main goal of our project is to conduct a detailed study of the karst landscape of Georgia using modern technologies and at the same time introduce and develop the latest research methods in Georgia. Therefore, we have a good opportunity to carry out a detailed photogrammetric survey of the karst terrain within the mentioned project, which will allow us to effectively conduct a complex study and analysis of the physical characteristics of the karst terrain. Moreover, the close range photogrammetry is a modern well-established digital modeling method that provides the best alternative for aerial photogrammetry and large-scale topographic mapping of various types of terrain", - Lasha Asanidze.
