Project Summary: The project defined the geographical study of the tourism potential of Kvemo Kartli and Javakheti in the historical parts of southern Georgia, the creation of a database, the preparation of a recommendation for tourism-related persons in the region and the dissemination of project results.

Achieved results: As a result of the project, a geographical survey of the tourism potential of the study region (South Georgia) was conducted. The study was interdisciplinary, it covered both natural-geographical and cultural heritage tourism resources. A complete scientific report of the research was prepared, a database of Kvemo Kartli tourism potential was created, cartographic material - a scheme of tourism potential zones of South Georgia; Recommendations for local and central government; 2 scientific-practical conferences were held.
